Job Title: Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury

Location: Chicago, IL - West Loop

Industry: Legal Services

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000/year (based on experience)

Job Description:

The Litigation Paralegal will play a vital role in supporting attorneys handling complex personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will bring foundational legal knowledge, be highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a direct-hire, full-time position based in downtown Chicago, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial client interviews and schedule follow-ups with attorneys
  • Review and summarize medical records and billing
  • Draft legal correspondence and prepare court documents such as motions and pleadings
  • Maintain case files and deadlines, including calendar management for attorneys
  • Coordinate discovery processes, including drafting and answering written discovery
  • Support trial preparation and manage document organization for medical discovery
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to litigation and client communications

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in litigation support, specifically personal injury cases
  • Basic understanding of legal procedures and terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities
  • Self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating with the paralegal team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required
