Salary: $24-25/hr DOE

Our client is a leading fabrication shop specializing in industrial equipment and we are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join their team.

Job Summary:
The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing metal surfaces to ensure durability and aesthetic quality. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fabrication or industrial setting, applying various coatings to metal components, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. We will consider commercial/residential painting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as necessary.
• Apply industrial coatings such as primers, enamels, urethanes, and epoxies using spray guns.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment, including HVLP and airless spray systems.
• Mix and match paint to achieve the required finish and ensure proper viscosity.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and ensure proper thickness and coverage.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper ventilation, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling.
• Work collaboratively with fabricators, welders, and other shop personnel to maintain production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and disposal of paint and solvents.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an industrial painter in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.
• Knowledge of different types of coatings, paints, and surface preparation techniques.
• Proficiency with HVLP and airless spray systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and hazardous material handling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
