Required Skills & Experience

• Active Secret security clearance
• Valid US Passport. Passport may be obtained within first 60 days from hire date.
• Bachelor’s Degree OR additional work experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience with: LAN/WAN protocols, BGP, MPLS, and LDP in a service environment; device configuration; wired, wireless, voice, and video technologies
• CCNP-E
• IAT Level III (Must have one of the following): CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH
• Must be willing to obtain a Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) within 4 months from start of employment/hire.

Job Description

• Develop solutions for simple to moderately complex Wide Area Network (WAN) problems.
• Tier III & IV troubleshooting for a network consisting of sites across CONUS and OCONUS.
• Planning, performing, and documenting laboratory assessments of hardware and software. Coordinating with the government customer to create a Technology Assessment Plan (TAP) to include the objectives, scope, equipment and configurations, technical approach, procedures, schedules, and roles and responsibilities required to complete LAN technology refresh and upgrades. These assessments may include independent cost estimates.
• Creating necessary supporting configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and procedures.
• Perform as on-call engineer for both NIPR and SIPR incidents. One weekly rotation every two-three months.
• Able to travel up to 25% to both CONUS and OCONUS DLA sites.
• **Need to be located within 1 hour of driving distance**
