Business Development Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand brand awareness for Mrs Prindables & Affy Tapple . This role focuses on strategic partnerships, B2B sales, and community engagement to introduce our gourmet caramel apples and confections to new audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Representation & Market Expansion

  • Serve as a passionate ambassador for Mrs Prindables & Affy Tapple , continuously seeking ways to introduce our products to new customers.
  • Actively increase brand visibility through networking, personal advocacy, and organic outreach.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry gatherings to build meaningful relationships and generate sales.

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive new customer acquisition across key segments, including:
  • Corporate gifting (employee recognition, client appreciation, hospitality).
  • Fundraising (schools, PTAs, non-profits).
  • Third-party retail and wholesale partnerships .
  • Identify new revenue opportunities in both peak and off-season.
  • Develop strategic outreach plans for lapsed fundraising customers to re-engage schools and organizations that previously partnered with us.

Strategic Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Create partnership programs that align with schools, local businesses, and city initiatives.
  • Understand school board and PTA decision-making processes to optimize fundraising efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, municipalities, and corporate partners to ensure long-term sales growth.

Product Development & Market Execution

  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies for new product launches, from ideation to execution.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns that drive trial and adoption.
  • Provide feedback on product innovations based on customer insights and market trends.

Competitive & Industry Insights

  • Monitor competitor activity to identify market gaps and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and consumer behavior to enhance marketing and sales strategies .
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve sales tactics and retention.

Digital Marketing & Outreach

  • Leverage digital marketing and social media to drive engagement and sales.
  • Execute targeted corporate and fundraising email campaigns and measure their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize a finite marketing budget for high-impact sales initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, hospitality, or marketing , preferably in a customer-focused role.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, negotiate partnerships, and drive revenue growth .
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a "worst they can say is no" mentality.
  • Ability to execute initiatives independently , from concept to implementation.
  • Hybrid role requiring at least three days in-office , engaging in strategy meetings, product tastings, and team collaborations.
  • Experience with fundraising, B2B gifting, and retail partnerships is a plus.
