Base pay range $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruiting an Art Director for a global fashion retailer in NYC. The Art Director will work closely with the Creative Director and Senior Art Director to conceptualize and develop seasonal campaigns for the brand. This role requires exceptional visual storytelling skills to inspire both the customer and internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, collaborative, and has a deep understanding of retail or brand experience. They must excel in conceptual thinking, trend awareness, and merging content, styling, and commerce seamlessly. Key Responsibilities: Assist in creative concept development by conducting photo research, designing mockups, and creating video/animation storyboards to deliver compelling visual narratives aligned with seasonal inspirations. Ensure a consistent visual aesthetic across advertising and editorial campaigns, direct mail collateral, branded platforms, e-commerce, and social media. Provide on-set and lo-fi art direction for photo and video shoots, collaborating with photographers, stylists, and the social media team. Maintain a strong knowledge of industry professionals, including photographers, stylists, and models. Support post-production processes such as retouching and video editing. Respond to creative feedback and adapt quickly to evolving project needs. Collaborate effectively in a team environment, proactively problem-solving with cross-functional partners. Uphold the brand’s creative direction while addressing core business needs and ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. Foster a positive work environment with high creative standards. Exhibit flexibility and a team-oriented mindset to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience & Qualifications: 7-10 years in a similar role within the fashion/retail industry. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AfterEffects). Impeccable organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Open to feedback, with a collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to clearly articulate and present creative ideas. Self-starter with the ability to independently manage and execute projects. Capable of reprioritizing tasks and workflows to meet business needs. Prior experience working for a similar brand is essential. Comfortable handling high volumes of work in a fast-paced setting. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
